Welcome to the Bridport and West Dorset Indoor Bowls Club.
We are a friendly and enthusiastic club with about 200 members serving the Bridport and surrounding areas. The Club has 4 rinks, changing rooms, disabled facilities, a kitchen and a bar. The lighting with the dropped ceiling must be the best in Dorset – we certainly think so!
Visitors and new members are always welcome whether you are from the local community or from further afield. The Club runs free taster sessions for anyone that would like to try this absorbing sport.

Our members participate in local, county and national competitions and we are fortunate to have in house coaches who run beginners and improvers courses as well as in house umpires.
The club is located at St. Andrews House, Saint Andrews Trading Estate, Bridport DT6 3EX. This is off the A3066 road from Bridport to Beaminster and Crewkerne.
Budding youngsters try indoor bowls
Bridport Indoor Bowls Club welcomed a group of enthusiastic youngsters from Loders Youth Club and gave them an opportunity to try the sport of indoor bowls. Daniel Humphreys, one of the Club’s younger members (centre rear), demonstrated the basics of how to deliver a bowl and then gave them a chance to try for themselves. Aged from 8 to 10 years old, they all enjoyed the experience. Peter Hunt, president of the Bridport Club, said “As with all sports, the younger you start the better. It was a pleasure to have these young people at the Club and I hope that they will come back and develop their skills in the future”.
